We are a non profit organization focused on growing the girls fastpitch softball program in Northfield.

We offer a traveling league for competitive players in the spring/summer and for a brief 6 week season in the fall.  We also offer a developmental In House program for Kindergarten thru 3rd graders in the Spring.

Welcome to the 2019 Summer Registration with Northfield Fastpitch Softball Association

A player’s age on December 31, 2018 determines that player’s age classification:

  • 18U: 1/1/00 - 12/31/01    = $325
  • 16U: 1/1/02 - 12/31/03    = $325
  • 14U: 1/1/04 - 12/31/05    = $325

Parents will need to submit a check for the $150 Volunteer Fee, per player, at the first coach’s meeting. Families must complete 6 volunteer hours, per player. Once the 6 hours are completed, the check will be destroyed. If a family chooses not to complete the 6 hours, the check will be cashed by July 31st. Volunteer hours can be completed by family members 18 years of age and older.  Players are welcome to help with concession stand shift but may not work alone.

2019 registration will include player skill assessments on Sunday, March 17th from 1- 4 p.m. at the Dundas Dome. Skill assessments are necessary for player safety as well as ongoing development of multiple levels of play. It is our hope that everyone will get to play but it is possible that some players might not make a team. In that unfortunate event, those players will be refunded registration fees minus any processing fees.

Custom jerseys will be provided for players to keep at the end of the season. Participants need to provide socks, black pants, helmet with chin strap/cage, and glove.  Fielding masks are not required, but are highly recommended for safety.

The NFSA will provide funding for up to two tournaments per team. It is at the discretion of the Head Coach to determine if a team will play in tournament beyond the normal The NFSA will provide funding for up to two tournaments per team. • Equal playing time in not guaranteed. Over the course of the regular season, each player will get a fair and ample amount of playing time. Coaches have the authority to limit playing time if a player has absences from games and/or practice.

  • The State Qualifier and State Tournaments follow strict ASA rules which restrict substitutions on the line-up card. These rules may result in reduced playing time for some players as the coaches use their best judgement to field the most competitive team.
